AR400F Sheet and Plate
A premium abrasion resistant steel plate with a nominal Brinell hardness of 400. AR400F sheet and plate exhibits an excellent combination of hardness, abrasion resistance, formability, weldability, toughness, and flatness. AR400 is produced for through-thickness hardness (not just surface hardness) while maintaining minimum carbon, alloy and carbon equivalents to improve weldability. AR400F abrasion resistant steel sheet & plates are used in the original fabrication and repair of heavy equipment subject to severe wear and tear. Most common applications are in the mining and construction markets with uses as liners, truck beds, buckets, hoppers, chutes, crushers, and conveyor troughs.
